Whatever is the solution, it is the poster's responsibility to follow the Code 
of Conduct and not the list's (or project's) responsibility to make the Code 
of Conduct match the default behavior of all mail clients, which is 
impossible anyway.

(I'm in favor of ditching gmail, but I understand many find it quite useful.)
