I haven't touched my xorg.conf for about a year. The corresponding part is OK:

Section "InputDevice"
	Identifier	"Generic Keyboard"
	Driver "kbd"
	Option "XkbRules"	"xorg"
	Option "XkbModel"	"pc104"
	Option "XkbLayout"	"us"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
	Identifier	"Configured Mouse"
	Driver "mouse"
EndSection
