Alpha Station problem with 2.6.18-6 kernel
Hello, I can't: 'apt-get install kernel-image-2.6.18-6-alpha-generic' on
my Alpha Station 400 4/233.
The last time I did the update the 2.6.18-5 kernel was installed.
I get this message during install:
"Hmm. The package shipped with symbolic link
/lib/modules/2.6.18-6alpha-generic/source
However, I can not read the target: The file or catalog does not exist
Therefore, I am deleting /lib/modules/2.6.18-6-alpha-generic/source"
After that it runs:
"Running depmod.
Finding valid ramdisk creators.
Using mkinitramfs-kpkg to build the ramdisk."
When i take a look in /boot I can see
'system.map-2.6.18-6-alpha-generic', 'config-2.6.18-6-alpha-generic',
'initrd.img-2.6.18-6-alpha-generic.
The 'vmlinuz' in / (the root partition) links to vmlinuz-2.6.18-6
and the 'vmlinuz' in /boot links to vmlinuz-2.6.18-5
The aboot.conf look like this:

But when I reboot I have the old 2.6.18-5 kernel running.
Do I have a symbolic link problem or is it something wrong with the
2.6.18-6 kernel image?
