I also have an atheros card working with debian lenny kernel: 2.6.26-1-
amd64
You can visit:

and download:

http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/daily/arch-latest/multi-arch/iso-cd/debian-testing-amd64-i386-powerpc-netinst.iso

It has the lastest kernel and I have no problems at all
