RE: Problem starting Apache with PHP

Try this link:

After some hard time Trial and error, I found the issue: due to some reasons, the make install to install php 5 does not actually copy over the libphp5.la files to the right place. After manually copying the la file, apache 2 can be started happily with php 5 enabled.”

Subject: Problem starting Apache with PHP

Hi all

I recently compiled MySQL, Apache and PHP and followed instruction on documentation in order to install a LAMPP Server.

The problem is that when trying to start Apache the next error message appears:

httpd:Sytax error on line 53 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/modules/libphp5.so into server: /usr/local/apache2/modules/libphp5.so: undefined symbol:_efree

Any hints in order to solve this are welcome

Thanks in advance an regards
