/etc/shorewall/rule for POP3
Folk,
I am restarting this thread; it was
looped and too difficult to follow.

remember if shorewall is case sensitive, but I bet it is in the
context of defining a rule. maybe post the actual config line to
produces the error?"
Turns out that documentation for specific
protocols is available.
http://www.shorewall.net/ports.html
Desktops.OpenDoc "http://www.shorewall.net/ports.html#id2460528"
So POP3 works now.
Of course, I still don't understand why SMTP
works without the rule. Apparently a default
case. The documentation might mention it, but
where.
Thanks for any ideas, ... Peter E.
