Why not use libdvdcss2 insteard of WinXP?

Note:

I had a R40-2328 and it seems the PCMCIA + USB port has lost its power!
The USB-Port supported a long time an external 2"5 60 GByte harddisk
connected over an USB/IDE/SATA adapter and one time the USB-Port was not
more able to support 5V/1A (even if the Manual says it should support up
to 1.5A) and it seems, the USB-Port is on the same DC-Converter as the
PCMCIA-Port since it has lost its power in the same time.

Now for my daily work I am using a light TP570 where the USB-Port
support without any problems 5V/1.2A but now there is a problem with D+
on it and I have to use a Dual-Port USB 2.0 adapter which do not support
MORE then 4A (!!!) per port and it seems, the PCMCIA slots do not
support more then 0.5A.

==> I had to buy an external PSU (3.0/3.3/5/6/6.5/7/8.4V) with 2.5 A and
now, I have not more the need for a fsck on my Hitachi TravelStar
    IC25N060ATMR04-0.

So maybe you have a problem with the USB-Modem which is sucking to much
energie and poll down the PSU which leed in write and inode errors...
