Your chart makes me wonder.   You do know that the filters go on  
everything
*EXCEPT* the modem right?   i.e. filter your phones, answering  
machine, alarm
system etc etc etc If so, please ignore the noise,  but it's counter- 
intuitive
to most people and thus often gets missed.

Actually there is only one filter required.  It's a low-pass filter
designed to separate the composite DSL signal into it's two components,
telephone and data.  Ask your DSL provider if they have one already
installed-most do.
