lenny: strange experiences trying to install latest weekly snapshot

Hi,

within the last few days, I tried to install lenny (i386, snapshot February 11) on several systems yielding strange results:

1) FSC Amilo Pro V2055 (VIA VN800 / UniChrome Pro), Saturday Feb 16
Installation seems to work well. While the boot procedure, X (using vesa-driver by default) seems to start, but then it stops and I'm thrown back to the non-graphical boot-console before the desktop manager itself appears. There, I can log in both as root or normal user and start X via startx without any problems.

2) Desktop based on nforce 430 / GeForce 6100, same date:
X (here too using vesa-driver by default) starts within the boot-procedure as normal.

3) FSC Amilo Pro V3515 (VIA VN896), Monday Feb 18
Within the "select and install software" step, just when normally tasksel starts, the installer tells me to insert the CD No. 1 - which of course still is in the drive. A hardware issue seems unlikely as I performed hereafter a test-install of etch on the same system without any problems. Nor seems a medium corruption likely as its the same as in the above steps.

4) as 1, Monday Feb 18
Within the "select and install software" step, installer grumbles about a missing German dictionary. After all, complete step fails.

I don't quite know how to appreciate all this, especially whether these are normal / transient problems while the development of testing or reflecting bugs. All in all, I thought it could be a good idea to post this stuff here, especially to figure out whether or not the latter is the case (and thus be able to report a bug if reasonable ...)
