How to unmute the sound?

Hi:

My sound card stopped working on my laptop D630 (lenny/sid). I tried to recompile the alsa-driver, it returns one warning indicating that sound channel for the card is muted by default.

But when run the "alsamixer", all the channels are available to ajust the volume.

What should I do to fix this issue, or how to unmute the sound?
