So today I tried k-meleon on my XP laptop.
It's like lightning. Subjectively it's 2-3 times faster than FireFox.
All web searches indicate that the closest equivalents under Linux are
Galeon and Epiphany. Both are enormously slower than k-meleon, and neither
has the key feature of supporting FF addons.
Maybe I'm just used to the pain (like Windows users are used to
malware), but I don't see any real problems using iceweasel.
Maybe some timings on how long it takes to render a page would help.
For example, I pressed ^R on http://slashdot.org and it took 5
seconds to load on my broadband cable modem system.
Any suggestions?
