1) Download the ati driver from
https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/64bit/ati-driver-installer-8.37.6-x86.x86_64.run
2) make the package as root
./ati-driver-installer-8.37.6-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Debian/unstable
3) install the source
dpkg -i fglrx-kernel-src_8.37.6-1_amd64.deb
4) build and install fglrx module using:
module-assistant
5) type fgl_glxgears
you should see the gears spining inside a cube
