Greetings all

I have bought a new printer (Epson Stylus DX6050) and have been able to
configure it fine using CUPS and it prints the test page and also from
text files. The system (Etch) recognises it as default and all seems fine.
But ... OOo still wants to print to my old (now removed) printer. How do
I get it to recognise and print to the new printer. On Slackware it was
just a case of ./spadmin and hey presto, one could access the
administration services of OOo.
How do I do this with Deb Etch.

Have you tried /usr/lib/openoffice/program/spadmin ?

Thanks Jeff

Wasn't sure where to find that file on Debian.

Anyway - that was the right file BUT the OOo still shows the default as the now obsolete printer even though the spadmin config file shows the DX6050 as the default and prints a perfect test page. In OOo however, when wanting to print a page, it tries to spool it to the old printer and throws a print error.
What am I overlooking?

Do you just run /usr/lib/openoffice/program/spadmin as root not as normal user?
And you may first look at ~/.openoffice.org2/user/psprint/psprint.conf.
