This has nothing to do with whether you use netinstall or not, but
what tasks you select during installation. You can install from any
media you want and when the installer runs tasksel, it will ask you to
determine how the machine will be used (mail server, file server,
print server, desktop etc). If you select desktop, you will get X. If
you don't, you won't. simple
