As root, run:
echo "4 4 1 7" > /proc/sys/kernel/printk
If you want to make this setting permanent then you can uncomment this
line
#kernel.printk = 4 4 1 7
in /etc/sysctl.conf. (Remove the hash sign "#" at the beginning of this
line.)
If you ever need to check these messages then you can find them in
/var/log/syslog.
