Please clarify.  You are trying to use the wired connection or the
wireless connection?

What does this say?

  dmesg | grep eth

  lspci | grep -i ethernet

> No DHCPOFFERS received.
> No working leases in persistent database - sleeping.

It is trying.  It is asking for DHCP information but not receiving any
responses.
