I think I'm beginning to understand: e.g. 10 postgres processes, each
saying its using e.g. 100 MB VIRT yet 1 GB is not being used.
What is needed is something that does for VM as du does for diskspace.
That would be a most useful tool, especially on boxes with low free
memory.
