Aptitude can't upgrade Apt!

Running Sid.

Some time ago I started getting this message from sudo
aptitude update :

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
aptitude: Depends: libapt-pkg-libc6.3-6-3.11 but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

In the meantime I have upgraded Synaptic, which Synaptic told me
required Aptitude to be removed. I dunno why. But it removed it, and
now I can't re-install it because of the missing dependacy.

This is my sources list. Am I missing something ??

deb ftp://gulus.usherbrooke.ca/debian/ sid main non-free contrib
deb ftp://gulus.usherbrooke.ca/debian-multimedia/ sid main

Searching the mailing list I saw someone with a similar
problem a few months back but that was after he downloaded and
installed a version of Aptitude that wasn't for Sid

Help anyone?

Cheers

Frank
