What about the MTU value ?
You can get it from the ifconfig command.

Mine :

bond0     Lien encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:17:31:A3:FF:31
          inet adr:192.168.0.1  Bcast:192.168.0.255
	  Masque:255.255.255.0
          adr inet6: fe80::217:31ff:fea3:ff31/64 Scope:Lien
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MASTER MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:21042 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
	  TX packets:21580 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
	  collisions:0 lg file transmission:0
	  RX bytes:2621709 (2.5 MiB) TX bytes:18100026 (17.2 MiB)

So 1500 here.
