grep PTYS /boot/config-2.6.20-1-686

Here is what I get:

$ grep PTYS /boot/config-2.6.20-1-amd64
CONFIG_UNIX98_PTYS=y
# CONFIG_LEGACY_PTYS is not set

I have no problems with my ptys or konsole, so the legacy option does
not seem to be critical. (I would expect that it is the same for a
32-bit system.)
