Your success prompted me to setup my DWL-G122. Alas, no joy here.
Mine has a H/W Version of B1 and a F/W version of 2.02, is yours the
same?
I tried using the rt2x00-source Readme, section 7, but am getting odd
errors. Everything up to and including bringing the wlan0 up and
scanning for an AP seem to work.
The command
# iwconfig wlan0 ap Mtntop_AP
Interface wlan0 doesn't support IP addresses
wlan0 Interface doesn't support IP addresses
Error for wireless request "Set AP Address" (8B14) :
invalid argument "Mtntop_AP".
And the same message if I try "Mtntop_AP".
Two Laptops and a desktop show the same results. Sad that it works
fine on an XP laptop to the same AP.
A Google search shows more peiople have just given up and use the
ndiswrapper on the H/W & F/W of the G122, but I do not wnat to go that
route.
I'm wondering if you tried the above and got the same results or not.
