Dell Inspiron 9400, Debian Etch Issues
Hello everyone,
I installed Etch, kernel 2.16.16-4-686. I have an
Intel Core Duo 2 2.16Ghz... Almost everything is
running fine, but I still have a couple of issues.
* No sound: I tried to compile the latest alsa driver,
but when compiling I got a message that I have those
drivers already in the kernel :-S.
* Cannot use cpufreq. :-S
Error message:
Error setting new values. Common errors:
- Do you have proper administration rights?
(super-user?)
- Is the governor you requested available and
modprobed?
- Trying to set an invalid policy?
- Trying to set a specific frequency, but userspace
governor is not available,
for example because of hardware which cannot be set
to a specific frequency
or because the userspace governor isn't loaded?
( Wireless hasn't been tested yet )... If anyone could
point me in the right direction it would be greatly
appreciate it.
Thanx in advance..
