In addition to below tests, I started
gnome-cups-manager, getting

(gnome-printer-view:12071): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While
connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the
authentication protocols specified are supported and
host-based authentication failed.
