Even better (especially for unstable): keep one old (working) kernel
installed. I learned this the hard way. About one year ago (shortly
after I had done a successful upgrade straight from sarge to sid) got
hit by "the yaird issue". It was a good way of learning to use chroot
from a live-cd ;)
