Wahoo! I couldn't agree more! An-archy, "rules without rulers".
Voluntary cooperation without coercion. Debian, in fact, because no
one, no matter what rank they have in the organization, can compel
anyone else to do anything. Including keeping discussions "on topic",
mea maxima culpa.
Here are a couple texts on the matter:
Book Review: Anarchy and the Law: The Political Economy of Choice
http://www.independent.org/publications/books/book_summary.asp?bookID=67
But Wouldn't Warlords Take Over?
http://www.mises.org/story/1855
And my favorite for drive-time listening, some 30 minutes or so and
very highly recommended whether you think anarchy can work or not:
Roderick T. Long, discussion of many of the objections to anarchy
http://www.mises.org/mp3/MU2004/Long2.mp3
Go ahead, read/listen, find the errors in their reasoning. Please.
