Sorry to reply to myself, but I left out another couple of
questions (if you live in New Jersey, that's "couple questions".)

I've seen a tool (for Win...) which claims to be able to put
a DVD onto a CD, which can then be played on a DVD player.
It claims that it does additional compression, and removes
the menu and "additional material" (I suppose the director
commentaries, and trailers for other movies) without losing
video definition. Anyone have any ideas about that? I've not
heard of playing a CD as a DVD. I suppose that if the CD had
a file system on it with VIDEO_TS/... on it, it might just
work.
