Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install Sarge on a pretty old Toshiba 2500CDS
http://209.167.114.38/ISG/pastproducts/html/satellite/satellite_2500cds_spec.html

I downloaded the netinst CD image (100 Mb)

The computer has just begun loading the CD and it seems to be hanging.

This is what I see:
####################################################
Detecting hardware to find CD-ROM drives

Loading module 'yenta_socket' for 'Toshiba America Info Systems ToPIC97'

#####################################################

Any ideas what this means?
Any ideas what I should do?
Should I use a different distribution?

Thanks for all your help,
Mitch

I've seen similar messages before referning to PC Card devices.  Is the drive on a PC Card Bus?
