Just to keep you informed:
He tries to install debian 31r4-i386 on single-core AMD64 with Asus
motherboard and Samsung 400 Gb SATA-II harddrive.
I've suggested him to try Etch due to better SATA support (as it is very
close to be "stable" now) and asked to inform if any difficulties will
arise.
