I tried gnome-terminal a few time ago when I realized that multi-gnome-terminal
was no more maintained: but it appeared that my escape sequences used for my bash
prompt were badly interpreted, so I stick to multi-gnome-terminal.
Obviously, today I have to move to gnome-terminal (I will miss the `split' features).
Why my escape sequence which works fine on xterm does not work with gnome-terminal ?
I guess that I have to configure something: I have a look to Edit->profiles->...,
but it might be somewhere else.

Any help is welcome,
