If you can trace the problem back to the change of video cards, then it
might be worthwhile to check for problems with the graphics driver.
Which driver are you using? Are you using any special options such as
RenderAccel? Are there any suspicious messages or warnings in
/var/log/Xorg.0.log? (/var/log/XFree86.0.log if you run Sarge)
