Re: apt bug 388708

Finally compiled and succeeded to recover from bug.
Please forget about
francesco
Still not found apt_0.6.45.i386.deb

I found at
snapshot.debian.net
apt_0.645exp2.tar.gz

However, unzipped, untarred and then

configure
make
(make reported error '../buil/doc/doxygen' does not exist. I accepted to
create a default set of package docs.

checkinstall -D

failed:
pwd: couldn't find directory entry in '../../../..' with matching i-node
make: *** No rule to make target 'install'. Stop
Installation failed.
Aborting package creation.

So that I did not get the deb package.

That story of apt-get fault has badly affected my affairs.

Thanks for help

Surely my fault, nonetheless unable to get that package from
snapshot.debian.net

Not found
no package found 'apt_0.6.45_i386.deb'
http://snapshot.debian.net/
Debian Project / Debian JP Project
ukai@debian.org / ukai@debian.or.jp

I tried different "spelling" with same result.

Not everyone finds the time to become expert in Debian matter. I have enough
with organic chemistry. Becaule hurried by the preparation of presentations,
is anyone so kind to indicate exactly how to get that deb package, or even
better set it in his server? It would be great service.

Thank you again
