I gave it a try and that did not fix it.
vgcfgrestore lnxvg

and I tried:
vgcfgrestore -l lnxvg
No archives found in /etc/lvm/archive.
File: /etc/lvm/backup/lnxvg

I think it does not sound too good. :(
Something else we could try.
