Trouble reading a Windows cd

Howdy list,

I have a cd of pictures that a friend burned for me on their windoze
machine. Whenever I try to mount it though, mount gives me an error
saying "mount: Not a directory".

I know this is not a permissions problem, as I get the same error when
I try to mount it as root. And yes, the mount point really is a
directory. I suspected that the disk was not finalized, so I tried a
"cdrecord -fix dev=/dev/dvd", but the cd still does not mount. I also
made a backup of the cd with dd, before running cdrecord. But of
course, mount -o loop on the .iso file gives the same error as mounting
the cd.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to manipulate
the cd to get the files off of it?

TIA,
Jacob
