ipmitool cpu temp

Hello,

Have an Intel S5000VSA board.
Here's the output from the ipmitool command:

# ipmitool sdr type temperature

Baseboard Temp | 30h | ok | 7.1 | 48 degrees C
P1 Therm Ctrl % | C0h | ok | 3.1 | 0 unspecified
P1 Therm Margin | 99h | ok | 3.1 | -34 degrees C
P2 Therm Margin | 9Bh | ok | 3.2 | -34 degrees C

What I don't understand is why the CPU temps are negative.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

If I work the CPU a little harder the temp will go up to about -28 degrees C.

Perhaps I just don't understand what a P1 Therm Margin is refering too.

Thanks,
Mike
