Finaly, call isp by the phone, or
go to their site. How do you get
this ip address? On cable, you have
static or dhcp option. On adsl it
is probably pppoe for you.
It matters if you have either local
or world-wide public address.

I recommend wrt54gl. From their ori-
ginal software, you take option for
address negotiation isp gives you.
DNS servers too.

Maybe isp fails.
What is your ethernet chip? Do you
see timeout or DOWN-UP in messages?
Sometimes helps to "shock the monkey",
power down all units, including modem.
