Jul 23 was only a week ago! The security problem has been
fixed, and as far as I can see, the only things that this
has broken are programs that are not actually in sarge at
all. So the fact people are still working on fixing it is
quite admirable.

If you're desperate, there's a working .deb in one of the
messages of that thread. If you really want to chase this
up, you could take Steve's packages and follow Joey's
interdiff suggestion and post the results to the bug, but
it's only been a week.
