udev might be able to do this. Of course, that means having to
upgrade to 2.6.
Also there was a long "autorun" thread on this list earlier this
month. Maybe that would help.

Is "common sense" really valid?
For example, it is "common sense" to white-power racists that
whites are superior to blacks, and that those with brown skins
are mud people.
However, that "common sense" is obviously wrong.
