I have just installed boa-constructor and it seems to be running OK. There are three buttons on the Palette Toolbar for help -- One for help on boa-constructor (which works just fine), one for help on wxPython and one for help on Python in general. Neither of the last two work properly. All three of them bring up help for boa-constructor. The help for boa-constructor says that the paths to the HTML help files should be in PrefGTK.py and they may need to be changed. I do not have this file anywhere on my system. Do I need to create it. If so, where? And exactly what do I put in it?

Any help will be appreciated.

the python package suggests python-doc and the python-wxgtk package
suggests wx2.6-doc. It could be that those are required for the help
to work as expected. Note that I don't use boa-con so that's a guess
from a quick search through aptitude.

I have python-doc installed.

If you mean libwxgtk2.4-python (instead of python-wxgtk, which does not seem to exist in Sarge), it recommends wxwin2.4-doc and wxwin2.4-examples, both of which I have installed.

I can access the docs through Firefox, but it would be much simpler to use a single click on the button designed for it in the editor of boa-constructor.

I still think that this is a configuration problem with a line in some file not pointing to the correct HTML doc filer, but I don't know which file to change, or where to find it.

What?! Look, somebody's got to have some damn perspective around here.
