That just is not true at all. The 800MHZ requirement is for the
bundled software.

My default dupper is a PII 266, which burns no problems at all @ 8x.
It is only data transfer. As long as the mother board correctly
supports DMA on both the Hard Disk and Optical Disc no problems will
occur. Even P1 MMX class CPUs have no issues transfering data at 4x
DVD writing speeds.
