  nfs would work if you wanted to trust that.
  Rather than focussing on sharing the directory you might be better
 off instead setting up an installation of 'apt-proxy'.  Install
 that on one machine and then update all other machines to fetch
 their packages via it.
  It will act as a proxy + cache and avoid you downloading the 
 same packages from the internet more than once...
