Yamaha sw60xg and aureal vortex
I'm trying to get an sw60xg midi card working to play midi, so I don't have
to have a midi keyboard connected all the time.
sw60xg is an isa card. I have line out from my aureal vortex sound pci card
attached to line in on sw60xg, and speakers on the sw60xg line out.
Running sarge, kernel 2.4.27 on a k6/2. kde. jackd. rosegarden4.
I get sounds [chimes etc in kde] but no midi playback. Same as if I just
connected speakers to aureal directly.
Any ideas?
How do I see if sw60xg is detected? How do I get debian to use it?
Grateful for advice - including if others lists would be better to use.
Have googled but not really understood what I have found though it looks
like sw60xg ought to work in linux.
