Sendmail: Update to 8.13.4-3sarge1 changed owner of queue-files

Hello,
after updating to sendmail-Version 8.13.4-3sarge1 new queue-files (/var/spool/mqueue) have the owner "root". Before the update the owner was "smmta".

Update on 24.3.06:
-rw-r-----  1 smmta smmsp  889 2006-03-23 09:47 dxxxxxxxx
-rw-r-----  1 root  smmsp 1180 2006-03-27 18:00 dyyyyyy

Additionally i have a different queue-directory for a special domain ((/var/spool/mqueue/domainname/ ) . This directory was owned by "smmta". After the update sendmail refuses to write files into this directory:

Mar 27 16:06:08 obelix sendmail[21359]: k2RE68Gg021359: SYSERR(root): collect: Cannot write ./dfk2RE68Gg021359 (bfcommit, uid=0, gid=0): Permission denied
or
Mar 27 16:08:13 obelix sendmail[21887]: k2RE8DWg021887: SYSERR(root): collect: Cannot write ./dfk2RE8DWg021887 (sm_io_flush||sm_io_error, uid=0, gid=0): Input
/output error

After changing the owner to "root", everythings work like before.

Can anybody confirm this new behavior?  Is this a side-effect of the update or is something wrong with my configuration?
