I've had similar problems over the last week or so....
I've just chalked it up to running testing/unstable.  I've had some issues in
kde and gnome.  I've also had issues lately with automounting usb devices.
Since I'm not sure what packages are causing it, I haven't filed any bug
reports, and have just been hoping that new packages work it out....
