Problem to install the kernel

I install Debian from mandriva with this guide
I didn't succeed to install the kernel and I get an error :
"Failed to create initrd image".
I have PIII 933Mhz and I try with kernels 2.6 386,686 and 2.4 386,686 and I get the same error.
The full error is:
