Take a look at the mplayer plugin for firefox. I believe the package
name is mozilla-mplayer. This should allow you to have it work via
mozilla. I'm not sure how well it will work with what you are trying
though.

If that fails you can always look into codeweavers cross over office
plugin. http://www.codeweavers.com/ I believe they have a "free"
version.. or at least a nag ware version.
