That would seem to be a different problem than that you can't install
libreadlineX-dev.  Did you have a failed/aborted kernel upgrade
recently that dpkg is now trying (and failing) to fix?

I ever tried to install a 2.6.10 kernel, but it did not work well, so I have delete all files relative to it. Like inside my /lib/modules, there are two directory, one is the original sarge version 2.4.27-2-386, the other one is the one I am using now 2.4.27-adeos-adeos.
and in /boot, there are only files corresponding to these two versions.
