Kernel 2.6.13 and megaraid

Good Day

I am busy upgrading our database Server to kernel 2.6.13 as kernel 2.4..
has been configured for SMP and Xeon processors.

When I do the upgrade I get the following errors

Setting up kernel-image-2.6.8-2-686-smp (2.6.8-16) ...
/usr/sbin/mkinitrd: add_modules_dep_2_5: modprobe failed
FATAL: Module megaraid_mbox not found.
WARNING: This failure MAY indicate that your kernel will not boot!
but it can also be triggered by needed modules being compiled into
the kernel.

when i do a lspci i get the following

0000:02:1e.0 PIC: Intel Corp. 82870P2 P64H2 I/OxAPIC (rev 04)
0000:02:1f.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 82870P2 P64H2 Hub PCI Bridge (rev
04)
0000:03:02.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID
(rev 01)
0000:04:02.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82540EM Gigabit Ethernet
Controller (rev 02)
0000:05:02.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage XL
(rev 27)
the Mega RAID refers to our SATA drives on which our database lives.
Of course when we boot from the new kernel the drives are not seen and
the modules dont load, so we have gone back to the 2.4 kernel.

How would we get these modules configured into the kernel,or fix this
problem. The new kernel was compiled with the LSI megaraid controller.

Kind Regards
Shawn Bishop
