i dont think that is a good idea.

let me explain you why:
dvdrip copies the vobs to your hdd in a rare way. dvdbackup does a good
job, and mirrors the dvd structure to your hdd. this is good, because
you can watch the movie with ogle, or mplayer. BUT: there are some nive
options that dvdrip will not enable if you use dvdrip for ripping.

so:
1.- you rip with dvdbackup and encode with dvdrip. you will lose some
options in dvdrip, but you'll be able to watch your movie, or try with
another encoder, such as mencoder
2.- you rip with dvdrip. the vobs will arrive to your hdd in a _very_
rare way, with freak names, lenght, and structure.


i dont think that 1 or 2 are good options.. soy, try antother thing.
acidrip seems to be nice!
