Hi,
I don't have a dvd player, but occasionally African Enterprise sends me
short DVDs of their work. Usually they are short enough that I can just
copy the contents onto a CD at work and bring it home to watch using
*some move player*.
The last one was made up of 5 VOB files, that I had to play one at a
time and they would stop at inopportune moments and I'd have to load up
the next one.... not that great...
so I end up going with something like this:
$ mplayer /media/cdrecorder/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB
$ mplayer /media/cdrecorder/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_2.VOB
etc...
if I try to run totem-xine, I get this:
$ totem file:///media/cdrecorder/

And Totem gives this error message:
Totem could not play 'dvd:///media/cdrecord/'.
There is no plugin to handle this movie.
I read this as totem is trying to access it as a UDF filesystem - but
obviously it's not - it's iso9660 - so it fails. :(
Any suggestions on how to play this properly?
