I haven't had the pleasure of running an smp kernel. Those are for Symmetric
multi processing if I'm not mistaken, and you need two processors or maybe a
dual core cpu.
I have a multithreading processor. After doing more research, I finaly figured out that the smp is the kernel for me.
So, I highly doubt that it is this which is causing the freezing. This freezing is sporadic: Some times it comes six minutes after boot-up; other times, hours. I wish I could give more information. Is there some log or script which wold record what was happening when the freeze occured?
